Kevin L. Schey, Ph.D.
Kevin earned his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1989 and has 34 years of professional experience in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry, including all aspects of proteomics analysis and mass spectrometry imaging. His application area of interest is the eye, particularly lens and retina biochemistry. He directs the Core Facility operations of the MSRC.

W. Hayes McDonald, Ph.D.
Hayes has been with the MSRC Proteomics Laboratory as a co-Associate Director since June 2008. After earning his Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology at Vanderbilt in 1998, he began his work in proteomics with John Yates at The Scripps Research Institute and continued as a scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Hayes has expertise in the design and implementation of shotgun and targeted proteomics experiments, particularly in relation to protein complexes, MS-informatics, and quantitative LC-MS/MS.
Kristie Lindsey Rose, Ph.D.
Kristie received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2005. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia, where she specialized in mass spectrometric analysis of peptides and proteins,and continued as a research scientist in the Proteomics Core at The Scripps Research Institute in the Department of Molecular Therapeutics. Kristie joined the MSRC Proteomics Core as co-Associate Director in 2010 and is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry. She has expertise in discovery-based quantitative proteomics, particularly label-based methods using isobaric tagging and metabolic labeling, characterization of post-translational modifications, and analysis of intact proteins.

Michael Leser, Ph.D.
Michael completed his PhD in Biochemistry from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2015. He pursued postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Victor Torres at New York University, the Mchaourab laboratory at Vanderbilt University, and joined the Proteomics facility at Vanderbilt as a postdoctoral scholar in 2021. His expertise lies in structural and biophysical characterization of proteins by complementing interrogation methodologies, including footprinting, EPR, and analytical centrifugation.
Purvi Patel, MS
Purvi received her MS in Biotechnology from New York University. She has 8 years of combined experience in Mass Spectrometry and Molecular Biology. She currently serves as a Senior Research Specialist at MSRC.
