The class typically concludes with a\u00a0field trip to the Vanderbilt Institute for Surgery Engineering (VISE) where students can get first hand exposure to cutting edge medical research! Throughout the year, the students design and build a robot to play in an annual competition. Through the hands-on engineering experience, the students are able to develop their software, hardware, and management skills.
