Background:

Originally from Los Angeles California, Emanuel graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, TN with a B.S. and M.S. in chemistry before joining the McLean lab in 2017. His master thesis focused on improving polymer membrane conductivity in proton exchange membrane fuel cells through the synthesis and characterization of modified disulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone)s copolymers. His current research interests include bioinformatics, ion-mobility mass spectrometry, and computational modeling. In his spare time Emanuel enjoys eating and competitive sports.
