Gravitational wave observation and detection offers a whole new spectrum of data about the universe and this innovation has prompted dozens of proposals for new and more sensitive gravitational-wave observatories. But, while ground- and space-based observatories like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ligo.caltech.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LIGO<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elisascience.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LISA<\/a> can give us a whole new perspective on the universe, they cannot access an important section of the gravitational-wave spectrum.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-230 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/lab.dev.vanderbilt.edu\/lunarlabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2023\/06\/LILA-sensitivity001-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lab.dev.vanderbilt.edu\/lunarlabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2023\/06\/LILA-sensitivity001-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/lab.dev.vanderbilt.edu\/lunarlabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2023\/06\/LILA-sensitivity001-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lab.dev.vanderbilt.edu\/lunarlabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2023\/06\/LILA-sensitivity001-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lab.dev.vanderbilt.edu\/lunarlabs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2023\/06\/LILA-sensitivity001.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While space-observatories like LISA can measure very low frequencies and ground-based observatories like LIGO can measure higher ones, neither are capable of measuring the middle-ground frequencies between 0.1-10Hz.
