Students in the Logan Lab learn about new or advanced methods to approach research questions regarding how children with disabilities grow and change over time and respond to interventions. They receive training in both content specific special education theory, policy, and practice and training in research methods and statistics.<\/p>\n

Developing Talkers: Building Effective Teachers of Academic Language Skills”: This work, done in collaboration with the Children’s Learning Institute, will evaluate the impact of Developing Talkers (DT), an intervention designed to improve teacher facilitation of academic language skills, and the academic language skills of kindergarten and first grade students. IDARE<\/h2>\n

The NIH R01-funded research project Integrating Data to Advance Reading Evidence (IDARE) is an active project that focuses on exploring racial differences in the effectiveness of supplemental reading interventions providing intensive, targeted support to students with or at-risk for reading disability (RD).
