Kelley Durkin
Principal Investigator
Kelley Durkin is a Research Assistant Professor of Teaching & Learning and Psychology & Human Development at Vanderbilt University. In her work, she focuses on improving math instruction in pre-K through high school classrooms, understanding misconceptions, and evaluating educational programs. Throughout her research projects, she has used a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate how learning changes over time and how to best support mathematics teaching and learning.
Dale Farran
Co-Investigator
Dale Farran is Professor Emerita of Education in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Farran has conducted research at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center in Chapel Hill, NC, and with the Abecedarian Project and the Kamehameha Schools Early Education Project in Hawaii. Dr. Farran focuses on facilitative environments for young children from poor families, especially classroom processes.

Luke Rainey is a Senior Research Coordinator at Vanderbilt University. He has been involved in developing and piloting classroom observation measures and activities focused on mathematics and executive function.
