Margaret Calhoun

Margaret graduated from the University of North Texas in 2016 with a B.S. in Chemistry with a Certificate in Forensic Science. Her work is focused on sensor development for proteins, specifically focusing on MMP-3 for the study of pre-term birth and IL-6 for early sepsis detection. While the MMP-3 sensors are being developed for biological study, the IL-6 sensor is being developed for medicinal purposes with the hope of them being deployed in hospitals and for the average medical provider to use.
